About this company

Nakaya Fountain Pen was set up in 1999 by craftsmen who had spent their working lives making pens at Platinum. Every pen is made to order.

Urushi lacquer is built up over an ebonite barrel, and every nib is adjusted individually. Prices run from around 100,000 yen to well over a million, and they hold their value on the used market.
