Opus 88 was started in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1988 by Michael Hsu. It grew out of a factory that had long manufactured for other brands.
It is known for eyedropper-filled fountain pens. Ink goes straight into the barrel, and a screw at the end shuts off the flow, so the pen is unlikely to leak when carried.
