八文字屋 本店

A Yamagata bookshop whose line is that there is always something new to find here — treasure, as it puts it. Besides books it sells games and trading cards and buys them back second-hand, and there is a Doutor coffee shop inside to sit down in once you have chosen. It has two buildings on Honcho in Yamagata city, with further shops in Tendo, Tsuruoka, Sakata, Shinjo, Nagai and Sendai. It grew out of the prefecture's schoolbook supplier. Somewhere the pen shelf is reached on the way out from the books.
