ペンとインクと文房具の店 樂

A small stationery shop above a confectioner's in Futsukamachi, Aoba ward, Sendai, run by a proprietor who calls himself Pen-jii. Fountain pens lead, with ballpoints, pencils, cards, letter paper and notebooks kept deliberately few and chosen for being interesting rather than complete. The bottled inks are the draw: a range meant to settle at 240 colours has passed 300. Pens are put in the hand to try and explained at length — the owner admits the talking runs long. Closed Thursdays; 11:00–19:00 weekdays, to 18:00 at weekends. Good for anyone who wants to dither happily over a colour.
