KyotoStationery shop
The name is the Japanese word for a sticky tag — the thing you put where you will reach for it first, which is what the shop wants to be. The main branch is on the ground floor of Karasuma City Core, and there are sixteen in all: eight around Kyoto, two in Osaka, one each in Kobe and Otsu, two in Nara and two in Tokyo. Many of them sit inside Ogaki or Keirindo bookshops, and others in Kyoto Station, an Aeon Mall and Kobe's umie. The layout puts the stationery on the way out from the books — a shop to drop into in passing.
