Fahrney's Pens

A fine writing specialist at 1408 F Street NW in Washington, DC, near the government district. Fountain pens, rollerballs and ballpoints lead, with Montblanc, Aurora, Caran d'Ache, Sailor, Pilot, Platinum, Visconti and S.T. Dupont among the makers. Its mark is the house exclusive: limited editions made for the shop, sometimes issued as a set with matching lapel pins, blotter papers and postcards, as with the Esterbrook Sakura Street. It runs pen shows and hosts visiting makers so pens can be tried in the hand, and writes its own guides to choosing ink.
