A fountain pen, paper and stationery specialist in Kagota-cho, Okazaki, Aichi prefecture, which chooses its stock by how a pen writes. Pieces that go deep into material are its mark: the Pilot Custom 845, turned from ebonite and finished in urushi lacquer over a large 18ct nib, and the Custom Kaede, whose barrel is hardened and polished Japanese maple that darkens with use. It also carries glass pens by Studio Kashō, presented as the work of a maker still refining lightness, grip and the feel of the nib. Sailor, Platinum and Caran d'Ache are stocked.
