A jeweller in Ostia Lido, the seaside quarter west of Rome, opened in 1990 with two shops in the centre of the town and trading there still. It deals in jewellery and watches from carefully chosen houses, and its strength is the goldsmiths and watchmakers on the premises, who handle repairs and commissions. Waldmann is carried on the writing side. It opens Monday to Saturday on the split Italian day, with slightly different hours at each of the two shops. An easy stop for a present on a trip to the coast.
