Seventy-seven years in the same spot in Yamanashi, since 1948, given over to fountain pens. Its line is that this is where you meet the pen that stays with you for life. It carries Japanese and foreign fountain pens, ballpoints and mechanical pencils, and chooses one with customers who come from well outside the prefecture. It repairs as well as sells — since April 2026 it can no longer take Montblanc work that must go back to the maker, but continues with parts and whatever else it can do in-house. The shop is built on the assumption that whatever else changes, people still write.
