Laywine's

On Bellair Street in Toronto's Yorkville, a shop for fountain pens, inks and paper. Alongside fountain pens, ballpoints, rollerballs and pencils it keeps a separate shelf for vintage and limited editions. Inks come as bottles, cartridges and converters, with replacement nibs, and there are planners, notebooks, desk accessories and pen cases. The buying has a distinct taste to it — Aurora, Pelikan, Caran d'Ache, Lamy, Visconti, Leonardo, Pilot, Midori, Blackwing, Carl Auböck — and the shop times itself to the annual Hobonichi release.
