The Pen Place

On the corner of Queen and Bourke Streets in Melbourne, at number 155. Its stated job is to grant the customer's pen wish. Waterman, Parker, Cross, Faber-Castell, Monteverde and Visconti are among the names, and repairs and refills are advertised alongside the sales. Its argument is that however technology changes the way work is done, the pen has stayed indispensable — and a pen that has stopped working can be brought in.
