A writing counter on the ninth floor of Hanshin department store in Umeda, Osaka, part of the Hankyu Hanshin group and connected directly to Osaka station and the underground shopping streets. Visconti and Caran d'Ache are carried, and the pens can be handled before choosing. The eighth-floor event hall turns over with temporary exhibitions and shops, stationery fairs among them, and a gift counter and voucher desk sit on the same floor — handy for choosing a pen as a present and having the wrapping settled. There is also a remote ordering service.
