C V Osborne

A goldsmith's on Church Street in Hereford, in the old quarter by the cathedral that houses the Mappa Mundi and the Chained Library. The proprietor served an apprenticeship in Australia forty years ago, returned to England and started the business some thirty-five years back; Tina Bridges, who trained at Hereford Art College, joined thirty years ago. They work as fabricating goldsmiths in the on-site workshop, still using mouth-blown torches, making contemporary pieces — and customers watch their commission come alive step by step. Waldmann is carried on the writing side.
