On Via Cavour in Florence, a shop for people who write. It puts experience and tradition at the front and carries over eighty brands. Beyond the pens themselves there are bottled inks, cartridges, converters and replacement nibs, kept maker by maker, so the shopping is for keeping a pen going rather than for the purchase itself. Notebooks, pen cases, bags and backpacks, books and magazines about writing, even the shop's own T-shirts — a whole kit can be assembled here. It runs a help desk, so someone buying a first fountain pen can decide by asking.
