Opened in Nice in 1896 by the great-grandfather of Janine Forestier, and still working to the 1930s slogan that out of a broken pen it makes a new one. The room is turn-of-the-century: coloured glass in the windows, tall wooden cabinets in warm tones. All the prestigious names in fine writing are here, and — the shop's particular boast — every model within each of them. Janine and the women who work the floor will find both the pen that matches your taste and the nib that suits your hand. Somewhere to go for something new, and somewhere to bring something old.
