Maido San Francisco (2F)

A stationery shop on the second floor of the Kinokuniya Building at 1581 Webster Street in San Francisco's Japantown — the original Maido, and one of the longer-standing businesses in the mall. It mixes imported Japanese goods with local ones and puts its weight on the fine stationery end, covering everything from a pen for daily use to art supplies for a school project. The staff make a point of keeping up with what is coming out, so it is a shop to ask in. Open 11:00 to 19:00 daily.
