The brand was born when TaShin Precision, a Taiwanese maker that had spent more than fifty years producing pens as an OEM for global brands, decided to sell under its own name. It is known for piston and converter-filling fountain pens at reachable prices. Its accessories get the same attention: a leather pen roll, for instance, made with a small specialty tannery in Himeji, Japan — a workshop that once made leather for baseball mitts — using only hide that is a by-product of meat production.
