It keeps a corner it calls the ink bar, where Diamine's 80ml bottles are lined up by colour — Grey, Green Black, Delamere Green, Soft Mint, Jade Green. The pens run to Caran d'Ache, Pelikan, Faber-Castell, Lamy, Pilot, Sailor, Platinum and Esterbrook, including collaborations such as the Esterbrook Estie with Ferris Wheel Press. Evening events bring makers in — Sailor among them — and advice is given by phone as well as over the counter. It suits someone who wants to compare colours before deciding.
