About the product

Priced at 66,000 yen (tax included). The nib is 21-karat gold (87.5% gold content), and Sailor is reportedly the only maker in the world still producing 21-karat gold nibs. The body is brass, hand-colored one piece at a time using a traditional technique called "hanmon kujaku-shoku" (mottled peacock coloring), applied with chemicals and fire by Momentum Factory Orii in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture.

Specs

It weighs about 43g with ink loaded, or about 26g with the cap removed. It measures 133.5mm long with the cap on, and the grip's widest point is about 14mm in diameter.
